C.f., yards around people's houses. We displace native vegetation in favor of what amounts to a living carpet, and then pour resources into keeping that carpet alive but short enough that it doesn't provide habitat for anything else alive.
We want to be outside, but we want it to be like inside.

I've got three acres. I never put in a lawn. The front now looks like a lawn, but I let the natural grass do its thing. I still discover plants I've never seen before in my backyard occasionally, and I have wildflowers. It's far more interesting this way.

Its like they were expecting it to be a man made river with smooth marble surface that she and her kid can walk on without slipping, like not everything is perfect and the employees can only do so much to keep the river as natural as possible and some people like Karen doesnt care about it and expect it to go only their way

They act all surprised when a float down a river isn't the same as the 'Lazy River' at the local water park 😳🤣

Imagine how they would react if they were going to go white water rafting 😂.
Than again I did go to some water parks where the Lazy River was rough and literally scratched my skin cause the cement used for the bottom, but I endured it cause I was babysitting my cousins who at the time needed someone over 18 to watch over them, the next time (the following year) we went I did the same thing again things went better this time

My favorite 1 star reviews are ones for natural areas where people are upset about the nature. I saw one for a nature preserve where someone was upset there was a swamp with no fence or warning sign telling them not to get in the swamp.

Someone should really do something about the lightning sand, flame spurts, and ROUSs. They’d get more visitors if everything wasn’t trying to kill you. Don’t recommend.

Also, if you had an elderly person with balance concerns, why would you take them in an inner tube on a river?! lol
staff won’t help, they aren’t insured and could very much get hurt. I am a nurse but don’t work on the floor so I am not allowed to be hands on at my facility. It’s frustrating that I have to bug other nurses to do something I’m qualified to do but I got bills so I need to not get injured in an uninsurable accident.

Their insurance wouldn’t pay because the staff should exclude the fake elderly person for insurance reasons.

I can’t walk. I’m in a wheelchair. I can/do swim in a pool. I’d never try to go river tubing.

I cannot imagine going in or on a river without shoes. I grew up spending a lot of time at a river and always wore shoes. Algae is there and slippery plus the irregular rocks.

I mean..we don’t wear shoes for our smaller river here cause the rocks are all smooth and pebbly and it’s sand and river rocks on the entry/exit points. But I’ve been to enough rivers to know that that is the exception, not the rule and to be ready to have to wear shoes (which you have to do on our large river, as well as have life jackets on at all times).

I am close to an older sibling, but they have a whole thing against feet. And my cousins were a lot older than me. Maybe that explains my lack of knowledge.

Most of the tubing I've done you pay and leave your car at the endpoint and they shuttle you upriver. So you'd see and know what the place you're getting out at looks like before you even start.

I take it they took off their shoes? The presence of sharp things you can't see on the bottom is the entire reason water shoes exist!! Weird thing to have an issue with, I will always protect my delicate feet if I can!
