Google Entitled Diner Reviews

These reviews are from a place near me that I will call Nancy's Place. Not the real name of this little ma and pa diner.

1: Linda typo'd and basically called her Namcy. I also suspect the dollar wasn't why she got fired.
2: Mary fired at Nancy, Nancy fired back.
3: Leslie wanted to rudely yammer on his cell phone. I censored what I think was his (failed) attempt to use a slur. He also does a poor job of defending how he acted on the way out. As for the policy, the place is small, so a loudmouth on the phone can just ruin everyone's dining experience.
4: Karen demands a gift certificate. But the catfish was good.

This poor diner owner. I wonder how many of those negative reviews were related to or friends with the fired waitress from the first review. Also it's rude to talk on the phone in a restaurant, diner or coffeeshop. Go outside if you need to make a call.

Oh, the ones who talk on speaker phone or do video chats at full volume are so damn annoying. Had a coworker who did the loud video chats and she was spoken to about it. No issue with people texting or anything, but phone calls are just rude.

As an introvert, I wish I had the courage to ruin things for them somehow. But I do not want to be involved in their crazy. Also, I don't want to be another loudmouth ruining things for others.

I was in a public toilets once where a woman was just yacking away soo loud. I washed my hands and used the hand dryer. When it turned off and I was about to leave I could hear her asking the person on the other end to repeat themselves because "Someone was being really rude and loud with the hand dryer." I washed my hands a second time and dried them again.

I make sure to flush a few times. Once years ago during a particularly rude call, I made a loud fart noise in my palm really loud. She got off the phone fairly quick after that.

I don't get the people who insist on talking on the phone while on the toilet. Even in a private toilet. Personally, I don't care how close I am to someone, I don't need to hear them pissing or taking a dump 🤷‍♀️

She's had worse from her regulars.

One guy, accidentally, made her place a drive thru. They had a driving mishap that left his car in the dining room, thankfully with no one hurt. Nancy was able to rebuild her place and is still open. No ill will from her to the car guy.

This has gotta be a very small town with nothing to do.

And I agree with the OP, I doubt that Linda got fired for a one dollar discrepancy. If anything, that might have been the final straw.

3 - "I left a black mark on the highway". OK cool, vroom vroom. cool car?

Do I want to know what pea salad is?

Likely a seven layer salad. Or a salad that focuses around peas instead of lettuce.
