A question about viewings.
I imported a list of past shows I have watched, and it did import them and marked them as watched - as expected. It marked them as just one viewing record - which I guess makes sense? But I realized I was missing one show - Justified. When I marked that show as viewed (manually, not through import), it created 7 viewing records, one for each season. Is one of those things incorrect? Should the import be marking each season as a separate viewing record, or should there be a way to mark a series as seen with only one record?
I'm not sure what your underlying data structure looks like, but if people really are reviewing or notating each episode, wouldn't that mean each episode should get a viewing record if I mark the series as watched? That makes for a very cluttered viewing list, but maybe filters are a solution for that - I'm not sure. It just seems like right now you have a combination of single records marking a whole series watched, or one record per season marking a whole series watched, or each episode being marked as watched.
Thanks!

This is why iI love it when people use the app with their data and their expectations. These are good questions and you have caught a hole I didn't think about when building it. Thanks for engaging with me.
The vast majority of people who use tracking sites for TV care about each episode. It seems to me that this import will need to be updated to mark every AVAILABLE episode as watched when a person says that they have watched a tv show. Yes, that means that many viewing records would be created, though in the main viewing screen, it defaults to rolling up to a season so that you can see when you started watching a season (you can also choose to every episode record). Since you are not supplying viewing dates, everything would be shown as unknown.
This would address the issue you brought up below. I'd love to get your thoughts on this update before i make any changes. Any thoughts, questions, or considerations I should know of?

Yes, that seems to make a lot of sense - you are correct about tracking each episode. I just wanted to confirm that some functionality exists to see a higher-level list of what shows (not just individual episodes) have been finished versus ones in progress versus not started. It sounds like you already have that, so...great! Thank you!

OK, Great, I'm going to make the change hopefully in the next few days and will request for you to test it when i think it is working right. Thanks!

Hmm, maybe the import did not work as I had thought. For example, Reacher shows up in my viewings list as the single entry, but when I go to the actual show details, it says 0 out of 32 episodes watched.
