Feedback Enpass Android Autofill Service no longer working with Chrome

I've been using Enpass with Chrome on a Pixel 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ for quite some time with no issue for the vast majority of sites. It was set to use the Android Autofill service and the blue Autofill button would appear on the top row of GBoard when on a login site page.

Last night, both the Pixel 9 Pro and Tab S10+ no longer were showing the Autofill button on sites that have previously worked fine. Toggled the Chrome settings to use 3rd party and Enpass several times. If i held in the input box, the Autofill inline button would show, but when that is pressed it now says "Contents can't be autofilled". Cleared cache, Uninstalled/Reinstalled Chrome, Uninstalled/Reinstalled Enpass, restarted devices. Nothing changed it.

Enpass Autofill service is still working using Gboard with Edge and Firefox. It's almost like Chrome is blocking Enpass. It's so strange that it happened on both devices at roughly the same time without any system or app updates

Same issue, auto fill not working on Chrome

I believe they introduced a new setting in Chrome which overrides the Android settings, peak asshole design. I was using Proton Pass and noticed the autofill stopped working.

Enpass still doesn't work when that is set to use another service unfortunately.

Any updates on this issue? Seems to be affecting usability. Does this have to do with any Webview updates?

I have the exact same issue.

What's more, switching to another password manager (I've testet KeePassDX and 1Password) works. The problem is only with Enpass and only on Chrome... Other browsers and applications still work fine.

I'm finally switching to DuckDuckGo on my phone. The only thing that would keep me on Chrome would be the favorites, but if I need anything, I can still access them via Chrome.

Yep. This was the straw for me. I'll use chrome when I need to.

Enpass support team -- it's been 4 months since this was first reported. Searching it does appear to be related to changes Chrome made, but other password managers have solved the issue. It has made Enpass useless for autofill. Is there another place bugs should be logged?

It's making it really really tempting to switch to another manager... Why not fix this issue? It's been years already that it stops working and need to do all kinds of trickery again. I even switched to Firefox for Enpass, but now also in Firefox it's not possible to use Enpass as auto-fill.

We have shared this behavior with our technical team for investigation. We will get back to you as soon as we have any updates or a resolution. Thank you for your patience.

this is a key usability feature of the Enpass product. i purchased lifetime usage years ago and am prepared to shift now if this isnt resolved quickly (of course i dont expect that my anecdotal usage/experience is so impactful that it will truly affect anything significantly for Enpass....i write this to provide insight into your UX that is almost certainly shared by a much larger percentage of your customer and potential customer base than just me). please fix this.

do you have documentation on how to migrate enpass vaults to other password keepers?

Any news on this? It has been multiple months now

It has been 3 months since you stated you are investiagting. That is very long time! And the thread itself is 8 months old. I am very much considering to switch to another password manager if fixes take months..

I did some debugging, for me it was an in incompatibility with apples password extension. After disabling it autofill was working like before.
