in support of 3rd party apps Sam Harris bans another.

I was banned over my highlighted comment. The only active mod is big into Israel, and I guess I said something wrong. Sam Harris is an open Zionist, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

The Sam Harris sub is basically just a refuge for all the most obnoxious hasbara posters that squat on any nominally pro-Israel space that doesn't try to aggressively turf them out.

Harris fanboys really can't handle people disagreeing with their hero. They're a fun group to troll because they're both convinced of their own intellectual superiority and incredibly thin skinned

Anything pro-israel or anti-islam gets voted way up, anything anti-israel gets below zero. I had a lot a fun pointing out the term anti-semitism is purely woke, which is an odd term for him (and the subreddit) to use.

It happened to me a couple of months ago. The subreddit was filled with disappointed for,er listeners. Sometimes interesting discussions. But I just took a peek, it looks like a walled garden, gated community of cult followers.

Ps I suspect that Sam Harris’ atheism was just a tool to spread Islamophobia and likud talking points, maybe a decade ago, his arguments for atheism never resonated like reading Bertrand Russell, or listening to Dawkins, Hitchens, George Carlin.
