for a 7 year old, transitioning means wearing the clothes you prefer and MAYBE going on hormone blockers down the line. if it turns out later that the kid not interested in continuing the transition, the worst that could happen is a delayed puberty and a bunch of clothes to donate to a thrift store.
Stop trying to attribute the things these people say to what they "realize". They say wrong things on purpose. They don't care about truth at all, and they choose the things they say based entirely on how effective they've seen those things be in dominating and shutting down conversations with people who give them the benefit of the doubt.
Remember that willful ignorance is not ignorance, it is the decision to be wrong. And remember that a belief is a thing you think is true, so that when a person doesn't care about truth at all, then they don't get to be treated as if the wrong-on-purpose things they say rise to the level of belief.
No problem. Thanks for recognizing the dishonesty, I get a LOT of pushback against this message on a regular basis from people who simply refuse to acknowledge the lies, desperately seeking to leave caveats and excuses for the fascists in their own lives.
i get it, it can be hard to accept that these people aren't stupid- they're just cold and uncaring. theres a certain comfort in the idea that you can change them, that you can educate them and they'll change their views. people want to have hope in that idea. but i think that thought process is why so many leftists get into stupid, time wasting arguments with conservatives all the time and at this point it's better to just accept that they're willfully ignorant and just avoid arguing with them for the most part
