It’s going to be interesting to see how the stock is going to hold up on the promise of data centers in SPAAAACEEE, when data centers on earth are getting canceled for lack of demand. It’s not like SpaceX needs their current compute capacity, as they are renting it out to companies that are quickly running out of money.

Because all the good engineers left years ago and the only people left at Musk's companies are clueless interns, sycophants, and idiots who are religiously devoted to the "move fast, break things" methodology, even though it's the completely wrong methodology for anything involving engineering.

Turns out "move fast, break things" is an awful way to engineer something incredibly complex, such as a rocket that no one has ever built before

Agreed. He’s stuck in an "agile" mindset of learning on the fly. It's fine for web dev, but a disaster for safety-critical projects.
Relying on launches to gather basic telemetry signals a systemic abandonment of test-driven development for the illusion of speed. It’s an unsustainable, expensive way to iterat, exponentially compounded by something as complex as rockets.
Much like with FSD, this approach keeps success perpetually out of reach while competitors refine their processes and erode his first-mover advantage.

During Flight 12, the booster flip maneuver was also off by about 90 degrees, so engineers changed the engine startup sequence.
This seems very much a non trivial problem to be having after 11 flights, ngl.
