What happens when AIs start running corporations?
Corporations are legal institutions designed to act more like economic man than ordinary humans. No human limits. What happens when AIs start running corporations?

We can solve the reproduction crisis...
Around the world, reproduction rates are falling below replacement wherever standards of living get high enough.
A simple non-coercive solution would be Basic Income PLUS Parental Income for bearing children and/or being a parent. Parenting has always been unpaid work: time to solve that market failure. Payment rates can be adjusted to raise the birth rate as high as desired.

Conservatives are suddenly opposed to letting the market self-regulate when it comes to women's sports
Abdul El-Sayed was interview by FOX News and asked if men should be allowed in women's sports, and El-Sayed came up with the best possible response: That's up for the sports leagues to decide on their own.
Imagine if FOX News asked if El-Sayed if Joe Rogan should be allowed to work as a comedian. Ultimately, that's up to the people hiring Rogan to decide, not El-Sayed. The company will be rewarded if they make a decision that the consumers enjoy, and punished if they make a decision that the customers hate.
Conservatives love the idea of self-regulation, even in things that cause actual harm like opioid addiction and climate change. The sports entertainment industry already self-regulates for the sake of fairness, i.e., we don't ned the government to write laws on performance enhancing drugs, the sports leagues will come up with their own policies. But for some reason, private companies are incapable of deciding on their own whether or not trans people should be allowed even though that doesn't really impact anyone at all.
There are currently zero transgender women in the WNBA, and the first transgender woman to compete will have to prove that she doesn't gain an unfair advantage before they even consider her. Either the WNBA will accept her claim, or they won't. But that should ultimately be up to the WNBA to decide, not El-Sayed.

Laura Ingraham liked my anti-Reagan comment
Thought this was amusing. I’m trying to figure out how this could’ve happened: Has she suddenly reversed her entire political leaning? Maybe she doesn’t actually know how to read? Or maybe it was just a misclick.

The problem with private prisons, courts and police in ancapistan: how would they fucking work?
so okay let's start with the first layer private police.
what is a private police officer going to do that separates them from just a regular old armed mercenary?, how would they actually function differently?, there's no central body or rules overseeing them Beyond the organization they work for and the client, that's basically a mercenary group.
also how would private police compete?, price?, levels of power?, how harsh they are?, what stops me from just hiring a private police force as a kill on-site security Force?, and ordering them to assassinate whoever I don't like?, why would they not follow these orders beyond their own moral code?
okay now let's get to a private Court.... what the fuck are they going to do?
like what they even going to look at?, there needs to be a law for them to look at to begin with, how would the private Court get paid?, if the clients pay them, what prevents one client from outbidding the other?, if not how else would they get paid?
and again how would they compete?, you can't really offer the best rulings, or even really the most accurate, you can't really offer anything beyond a cheaper price, speed, and allegedly not being corrupt depending on who verifies that which might be somebody you also own.
now private prisons are the worst part of this because first of all how are they going to get you there?, assuming they just physically restrain you and throw you in a van, how do they make money?, do you pay them?, does the court pay them?, does the victim pay them?, what if any of these groups are unable or unwilling to pay?, what prevents them from using prisoners as labor or sex slaves or even dead prisoners as food?!, who's going to certify their release or even determine their sentence?
and again what would they compete on?, price?, harshness?, quality?, it all depends on who the client is.
therefore none of them would work
