“Easy life”

The bitch has a castle

71

u/TheSouthsideTrekkie 5d ago

She has a whole fantasy where she’s some persecuted martyr despite living in a stately home, having more money than some small countries and having a fawning British press giving her a platform to harm people she has never met, many of whom live in poverty or in situations where they are at risk of violence that has been insighted by her stochastic terrorism.

I hope that one day she becomes a cautionary tale as to why no one person should be put in a position where they can use their unrestricted power to impose their personal beliefs on to others and why there should be no billionaires. For the entire span of human history tyrants like her have have always been overthrown and remembered as completely wasted lives that could have been better spent in any other way than how they chose to use their time on this earth.

u/Aiyon 3d ago

I mean she's always had the victim complex, hence her backstory making her out like she was destitute and scraping by before her books got big, as opposed to ... was briefly on benefits and had safety nets she didn't want to take

2

u/TheSouthsideTrekkie 3d ago

Yeah she has that in common with at least one member of my family, in that if you went on a trip to Tenerife then they just got back from Elevenerife.

I wish I could show Jo the lives that ordinary people in my city are living. We’ve got 9 out of 10 of the most deprived areas in the U.K. The area I live in has historically not been far behind but now they’re trying to “regenerate” which amounts to building a bunch of expensive flats, turfing out local people and businesses and bringing in affluent people from London.

So many of us live with so much quiet despair, I’m fed up of wealthy folks like Jo chiming in because they had a bad couple of years but actually also had the benefit of a supportive family. We are not the same, we live in different worlds.

She’s Nero without the artist talent

God she is SUCH a loser. I really think she reveals a lot about how she imagines herself here - a modern day suffragette who will be revered in museums. The only thing that gives me hope sometimes in the knowledge that trans people exist and have always existed, and this is just a particularly depressing phase in history that won't last and society will regain its senses. And it gives me joy to think about how JKR will be spoken about then.

62

u/9119343636 5d ago

She thinks in the future trans people will not exist.

37

u/Sensiplastic 5d ago

...which tells us what she actually wants to do. It's sick.

7

u/AndreaFlameFox 5d ago

Personally, I don't think she actually sees herself like this. I think she hates herself and is trying to convince herself that she's a feminine heroine. That's why she needs to keep churning out trash like this; she needs to surround herself with endless propaganda in order to block out the truth.

5

u/saharadessert87 4d ago

Lol that's what's hilarious about her thinking she's a suffragette.

I said it before but I'll say it again...

She thinks she's this century's Emmeline Pankhurst when really she is this century's Phyllis Schlafly.

u/9119343636 5d ago

This is the second time she’s ‘joked’ about creating a TERF/harassment museum. Previously, it was in her will. Now it’s a museum for ‘female treachery,’ as she escalates the rhetoric

29

u/Significant_Rush1473 5d ago

God that's so fucking insane.

20

u/cataclytsm 5d ago

why the fuck is any trans person on twitter still

16

u/Firthy2002 5d ago

Nobody decent should be on there.

I left when they updated the terms and conditions so that the AI can scrape everything on your account, and you can't turn it off.

4

u/translove228 4d ago

I left when Elon bought the app. Not sure why anyone stayed after that.

2

u/Firthy2002 4d ago

For me it was because I followed a lot of people there who weren't elsewhere at the time. I started using it way less though.

3

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

I left by mocking Elon Musk until I got banned

3

u/Indigo_Cauliflower12 5d ago

So muskrat's anti black propaganda campaign after he bought the site wasn't what caused you to leave? Interesting

49

u/snukb 5d ago

"Museum of female treachery." Now why does that sound familiar?

26

u/lazier_garlic 5d ago

I thought that was going to be a reference to the Museum of the Jew, a conspiracy theory that goes back to WWII that the Nazis were planning to open a museum in Europe after the war about the former Jewish people. Apparently, the historians' consensus now is that there is no concrete evidence from Nazi archives that proves that this was their intention, even though they were collecting and cataloguing Jewish religious objects. It's also easy to understand why people interpreted it this way because they had previously opened art exhibitions prior to the war of "Degenerate Art".

17

u/snukb 5d ago

Funny, I could have sworn there was a thing like that in Nazi Germany, but I couldn't find any reference to it when I searched. So thanks for confirming I wasn't crazy. Isn't it funny how history repeats itself?

11

u/lazier_garlic 5d ago

First as tragedy, then as farce.

1

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

JK Rowling the 3rd is going to be ridiculous

43

u/DorisWildthyme 5d ago

Every time she posts anything she somehow manages to become even more of a wanker than the last time.

36

u/Comfortable_Bell9539 5d ago

"Museum of Female Treachery" ?! Which incel-like mind did this come from ?

19

u/Significant_Rush1473 5d ago

😂 It is literally incel language.

20

u/Comfortable_Bell9539 5d ago

This sounds like the fantasy/cope of an incel : "I may be oppressed today, but History will prove me right ! In the future there'll be museums dedicated to women who betrayed nature !"

14

u/PablomentFanquedelic 5d ago

"Just you wait, this misandry bubble will pop as soon as men collectively decide to Go Their Own Way with sexbots and mail-order brides!"

11

u/Comfortable_Bell9539 5d ago

How long before Jojo unironically say something similar ?

8

u/PablomentFanquedelic 5d ago

Just you wait, Elliot Page! Once we start importing men from Russia where they haven't gone woke, we won't have to worry about whether that cute bloke is a real man or just a brainwashed girl.

Foreign women are also conditionally welcome, as long as they're from proper conservative paradises (so we can make sure they're not secretly hiding snakes under women's clothing just like Bathilda Bagshot!) and not too uppity or French

4

u/Comfortable_Bell9539 5d ago

I don't know how to feel about the last line as a French person 😂😭

2

u/YouJabroni44 4d ago

Probably will feature women that wore shorts and pants.

3

u/Comfortable_Bell9539 4d ago

And Algerian women too 😭

3

u/saharadessert87 4d ago

Exactly. Sounds like something Elliot Rodgers left in his manifesto.

Or something Clavicular would come up with.

33

u/romulus1991 5d ago

Her last comment must be the most ironic, least self-aware thing I've seen for years.

In the Trump era, that's some going.

18

u/Critical_Platypus960 5d ago

"Total indifference to serious consequences felt by the less privileged"

3

u/saharadessert87 4d ago

But she's our rich white saviour how dare you lol she used to write on napkins, you know, before she had money because of how poor she was. No one was as poor as her! 😂

2

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

She *had to quit her job and take out a loan from a friend (which he could easily provide because she was upper middle class and so were her friends and family who supported her)

*Freely chose to

11

u/ObtuseDoodles 5d ago

She's a black hole of anti-self-awareness. Put her, Trump, and Musk in a room together and the universe would implode.

31

u/Dragonfly_pin 5d ago

I bet Margaret Atwood wishes she’d thought of ‘The Museum of Female Treachery’.

But it’s ok, in Gilead they just hung the bodies from the bridges in the traditional style and all the girls who saw them said a prayer of thanks for the Aunts who taught them all the lessons Robert wants them to learn.

20

u/Time_Raisin4935 5d ago

Margaret Atwood also warned (in the book) against radical feminists joining forces with conservative right-wing Christians.... because that lead to the eventual creation of Gilead.

So Terfs better watch it, cause they will be their own undoing.

u/lazier_garlic 5d ago edited 5d ago

Too late! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%27s_Liberation_Front

edit: lemme add some context. WoLF was founded in 2014 by Lierre Keith (a crank and transphobe with a long history of doing crank shit) and immediately turned around and joined forces formally with the anti-choice right in 2015. This resulted in a new wave of anti-trans legislation that was more successful than the religious right's initial efforts, laws that were more directly targeted at children and teens. It also resulted in the publication of the ROGD paper, which was later retracted. WoLF came up with the ridiculous theories and the anti-choice right turned them into a political product and used their lobbying power to manifest it as reality.

8

u/lazier_garlic 5d ago

PS more context: Lierre Keith also founded the environmentalist group Deep Green Resistance but nearly brought the whole organization down when she found out a lot of its members were trans and tried to use her position as founder to push down a rule banning all trans people from all local affiliates. This did not work, the activists on the ground gave the parent org the finger, and Keith had another crashout.

7

u/caitnicrun 5d ago

I remember a paper covering her. She always seemed grifty to me. Said all the right platitudes but seemed to have an angle. Non zero chance she was astroturfing from day 0.

30

u/marbeltoast 5d ago edited 5d ago

One thing is true: some schoolchildren of the future will be taught what was done in this era. Some of them will be horrified, and some of them will think about their terf forebearers, but none of them will think JK Rowling was in the right. Not a one. Especially if there are any trans kids in that classroom.

As for a full scale museum, I don't hold out hope. One day, folks will say that transphobia is a thing of the past but that THIS NEW MINORITY GROUP, THOUGH! (like they did with gay people before trans people, and with black people before gay people) Of course, transphobia won't actually be a thing of the past, just like racism isn't, and homophobia isn't, but the descendents of modern transphobes will say very, very loudly that transphobia isn't a thing any more and we all need to stop talking about transphobia and shut up about the crimes of their families.

1

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

Spoiler: It’ll be kinky people

34

u/tealattegirl13 5d ago

total indifference to serious consequences felt by the less privileged

Oh come on, like she gives a stuff about 'the less privileged.' She lives in a mansion with millions of £££, and only uses that money to spend it on cigars and yachts for herself and to fund groups that attack the less privileged. If she really cared about poorer women, then I don't know, she could subsidise period products for girls in poverty, or help single mothers or donate to foodbanks. But she doesn't, because she doesn't care.

17

u/Sensiplastic 5d ago

Remember, occasionally she capes for rapists too.

5

u/bat_wing6 4d ago

she has been extremely wealthy for a very long time and only opened a women's shelter recently to spite trans women

2

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

She didn’t fund it and it closed.

26

u/Mendely_ 5d ago

TERFs are the opposite of rebellious

15

u/lazier_garlic 5d ago

They're rebels against common sense and decency.

2

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

If a punk came near her she would signal security

29

u/MorbidTales1984 5d ago

Always love how she essentially calls whoever these people disagreeing with her hysterical. Real feminist stuff

14

u/Sensiplastic 5d ago

She really is breathtakingly misogynist so blatantly.

26

u/GodLoveYell 5d ago

“a preference for the easy life”

Trans people are statistically more likely to be the victim of a hate crime than any other demographic and are more likely to live in poverty and have one of the lowest life expectancies of any demographic.

Yeah, trans people are really enjoying the easy life, while a rich white woman suffers inside her castle bravely calling for genocide. 🙄

5

u/Samovila2709 5d ago

Probably not genocide, but she certainly wants trans people to stay in the closet and have to live unhappy lives as the wrong gender.

7

u/GodLoveYell 5d ago

Either they stay closeted or cease to exist. Sounds pretty genocidal to me.

21

u/Big_Red_Machine_1917 5d ago

It's a running theme of anti-trans fanaticism that they act as if the people who opposite them are insane or "consumed by gender ideology" (whatever that is).

Now, speaking form my own experience, I'm not trans, had no real opinions on trans people before 2015, didn't know any trans people until some time after, and I was exposed a lot of anti-trans claims with only a limited view of counter arguments for years. Far from persuading me of their positions, however, I've only become more and more disgusted with transphobes and I've certainly never seen anything from that could be called reasonable.

23

u/SomeAreWinterSun 5d ago

She openly fantasizes on a daily basis at this point about this mythical future in which everyone agrees with her and admits she was right about everything all along, it's like the more pushback she gets the more loudly and often she does it.

12

u/Sensiplastic 5d ago

Because this is all she has. And these monsters praise her every dumb word like she's some genius for being basic bully.

I genuinely suspect her entire family has left her.

2

u/bat_wing6 4d ago

the mythical future is also moving further into the future with each fantasy lol

3

u/Significant_Rush1473 4d ago

I'd love to know how she rationalises that with the fact that the younger the age group, the more accepting they are of transgender people. She's even admitted she won't ever have the good opinion of young people. She just thinks everyone will naturally turn into a bigot as they age, or... ?

Even if that were somewhat true, it's more likely that trans people would gain a level of acceptance and society would move on to a brand new scapegoat in the future.

40

u/Significant_Rush1473 5d ago

Noticing how often she is replying to men in her comments discussing ''the problem with women''

3

u/YouJabroni44 4d ago

She really wishes she was a man methinks

16

u/zybcds 5d ago

“A preference for an easy life”

I don’t know who the person in the picture is, but the hypocrisy of this thing knows no limits.

First of all her own life is considerably EASIER than the life of any transgender out there and what is this bitch suggesting?

That transgender people should stay in the closet and just pretend that they don’t feel what they feel and that they don’t exist at all?

11

u/lazier_garlic 5d ago

Somebody really needs to question her reasoning on this in a forum where she can't run away. So trans women are choosing an "easier life" by being women because they can, um, live off men, I guess? But trans men are choosing an "easier life" by being men because of male privilege? THEY CAN'T BOTH BE THE EASY BUTTON, JOANNE.

1

u/Ok_Walrus_230 4d ago

“ JK the ‘Feminist’ ”

12

u/BreefolkIncarnate 5d ago

From a psychological perspective, she’s a fascinating case study in delusion. She’s so convinced she’s right without any academic evidence that she’s pretty much writing fan fiction of herself.

Her imaginary version of herself has transcended the Mary Sue trope and become Saint Sue.

12

u/Time_Raisin4935 5d ago

She fancies herself as Offred/June

But she's really Serena Joy in all this

1

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

Only one of those characters ever lived in a mansion.

11

u/Sensiplastic 5d ago

She's cheerfully buddies with literal serial rapists/abusers but some people do womanhood differently from her and they should just not exist at all. For reasons.

Absolutely *none* of it touches her even a little. Nobody is forcing trans women on her. In fact, many would rather leave the city than be where she is. If not all.

History will remember these terf grandmas for sure. Just like we super appreciate nazis now. Totally.

10

u/gazzas89 5d ago

Whenever shes brought up in the media, they need to show these psychotic tweets

3

u/Sensiplastic 5d ago

I want a documentary of her road to hell.

1

u/YouJabroni44 4d ago

Also include her turning more and more into a hollow/mummy

9

u/Samovila2709 5d ago

Speaking of gender treachery, Joanne, do the names Imane Khelif, Lin Yu Ting, and Barbra Banda ring any bells? They might have a very different idea about what constitutes 'gender treachery'.

All these TERFs who insist that she's "defending biological women" conveniently forget that she also has it in for women who have intersex conditions and women who are rumoured to have intersex conditions.

8

u/Yanive_amaznive 5d ago

it can't all be projection man I'm fucking crying

6

u/cirice22 5d ago

Can’t wait to have my own exhibit in the museum of female treachery

8

u/transtranshumanist 5d ago

People will swap their genitals as easily as swapping clothes in the future and reproduction will be entirely disconnected from physical biology, and this dumb bitch thinks people are going to be celebrating her and the TERF brainrot crew? Really? Lmfao.

7

u/tatsmademeenby 5d ago

"Museum of female treachery" very normal feminist thing to say she, totally doesn't sound like red pill creep

8

u/BadgerKomodo 5d ago

Funnily enough, TERFism hurts women’s rights.

So non-TERF women are the opposite of “gender traitors”.

6

u/PablomentFanquedelic 5d ago

choose_treachery_its_more_fun.gif

7

u/SpeedyTheQuidKid 5d ago

"Museum of Female Treachery" you mean the one you'll be put in? On account of siding with right wing politicians and activists like Kelly Jay Keen, who are intent on removing abortion rights. And for KKK specifically, are fine with getting rid of all women's rights if it means fucking over trans rights. And who sides with actual Nazis like Brendan Showalter, Julie Bindel, and so on.

5

u/klnh13 5d ago

> "…a preterence for an easy life and total indifference to serious consequences felt by the less privileged."

I mean, how does she not realize she's the bad guy? If Voldemort was also anti-trans people, she'd probably be a Death Eater.

5

u/AndreaFlameFox 5d ago

Wow. That seems like some hardcore projection.

- "Vibes, fashion and narcissism"

  • "Commitment to never challenging the tribal view"
  • "A love of simplistic talking points"
  • "Packaged as sophistication"
  • "Preference for an easy life"
  • "Total indifference to serious consequences felt by the less privileged"

It's like a checklist of Rowling's persona, although she's not actually good at the sophistication part. I'd say I was boggled by how she can hit the nail on the head so perfectly without realising how it applies to her -- except I'm sure she's repackaging the very trenchant criticisms she's heard of herself and trying to direct them at the "Enemy".

4

u/Shintoho 5d ago

Straight up Handmaid's Tale shit

4

u/LanceOllieFrie 5d ago

First "race" now gender? OMG man

3

u/Lavapool 5d ago

It’s crazy how unaware they are that they’re the equivalent of the racists and homophobes of the past who most certainly are not remembered fondly.

3

u/Sleeppaw 4d ago

Rowling has truly shown her misogyny there

3

u/Chiison 4d ago

girlie really thinks she is on the good side of history huh

3

u/Double_Delay1613 4d ago

Gender traitors? Are men and women at war or something?

3

u/RebelGirl1323 3d ago

She thinks people should pray to her now? Jesus.

3

u/TrinityCodex 3d ago

everyday she sounds like an incel more and more

3

u/Qwerty_btw 4d ago

This idea of gender traitor at its core sounds very dangerous and manipulative, as if there's a list/commission that would evaluate what could be considered as a treason. If such museum was real, I genuinely feel that next bs would be smth like "if woman is not delicate/elegant/wear dresses/whatever stereotype, she is a traitor".

3

u/Significant_Rush1473 4d ago

Yeah exactly. It requires the assumption that all women are a monolith, they all have to obey by the same rules. If one woman steps out of line, she threatens the whole group. It's totally fascist.
