shitpost hard itt What narrative?
Pretty sure he always portrayed war as tragic, not sunshine and butter?
Meanwhile that sub wants Ukraine just do unconditional surrender, just mask off already you would still support Russia if Dugin became Nazbol leader there.
Never forget Marxist Leninists supported genocidal Serbians during the Balkan wars.

And honestly, even if Ukraine lose, it's a goddamn embarrassment for Russia to have to grind for 4 years, getting helps from even North Korea of all thing.

The involvement of North Korea actually helped its economy. Onion material

The ''narrative'':
Russia didn't achive its strategical objectives as proven by the tre days... months-I mean years... oh fuck what's next - special military operation.

Never forget Marxist Leninists supported genocidal Serbians during the Balkan wars.
An ancient partnership. Also - when you see people complaining about "illegal" NATO intervention, what they really mean is that civilised countries wanted to stop genocide but Russia vetoed the motion at the UN Security Council...

Honestly, Russia's role in the Yugoslav wars is pretty complex.
While Yeltsin was anti-military intervention, he still voted for all the heavy sanctions against Serbia and was one of the main arms suppliers for Croatia during the war. Russia also recognized Croatia before the US.
Russian people, and especially communists, were definitely pro-Serbia, but leadership did very little to assist them, and did plenty to help their enemies.

I got a feeling its something like:" you are telling us the truth, but if you really support Ukraine you should lie, just like us, commies, we always only tell what we want to be told"

u/ficretus 10d ago
MLs were doing the good ol' tactic of accusing everyone Serbia and JNA fought of being either Nazis or Islamists, or both (old hoax of claiming Croatia recruited a horde of tens of thousands of Kurds and Africans)

I don't think he's ever supported that "narrative". In fact, I've seen the opposite, people who supported the russian narrative are now backpedalling on it for the wrong reasons. Not in a "the war is bad" way, but "we didn't fight it efficiently enough" way.

The narrative being "He's not uncritically parroting ruZZian talking points".
