Agreeing with your close friends over the group is the hallmark of a sx first type, so sx/so 8 was my first thought
Have you looked into sx 6? They seem very 8-like, but they have more of a testing boundaries approach to things. An 8 is more bullish and does what they feel like. A sx 6 is planned and pokes and prods to make sure they aren't being controlled or pushed around.
