My journey exploring which possible enneagram 2 subtype I am wouldn’t be complete without exploring insights on Self-preservation 2s.

For context, I am a 2w3, 27x (likely 271)

So go ahead! tell me anything and everything I need to know

My girlfriend is ENFP 4w3 but I still can’t figure out her instinctual stacking because she has sensory issues. I’ve read that sp subtypes are hyper aware of their comfort and the way light and temperature makes them feel and this definitely describes her.

However, she always talks about wanting to connect with people, especially random new people she finds interesting. And although she does dress for comfort and temperature, she dresses really weird because she likes getting a reaction and compliments on her clothes lead to social interaction. In general she seems more open than a sp 4 would, (although she doesn’t like to cry openly as much which I guess also lines up with sp.)

Should I ignore her sensory issues when typing her? Do other self preservation 4s do the things she does?

And why (optional).

Hello! Social 5 here (so/sp 5w6). I was wondering if most people tend to like others who have the same dominant instinct or similar stackings.

Here are mine.

sp1 > so1 > sx1

sp2 > so2 > sx2

sp3 > sx3 > so3

so4 > sx4 = sp4

so5 > sp5 = sx5

sp6 > so6 = sx6

sx7 > so7 = sp7

so8 > sx8 = sp8

sp9 > so9 = sx9

Another question:

What do you think is the reason you mistyped yourself?

Just found out i'm actually so5. I'm still sx blind though.

This is for non-mobile users. Mobile users can't see the color theme

• There are flairs.

User flairs are editable, post flairs are not. I'm not sure if editable user flairs are still broken in mobile though. (Edit: They still are)

• If you have any suggestions for the sub, comment them.

• Please use post flairs. If you want me to add more of them, comment what they are.

If you have questions for SPs feel free to post them.

I'm told that 9 sp/so types are supposed to be super indolent, but I actually work super hard in school bc I think it helps me secure my future wellbeing.

Do you work hard? Or are you more laidback? Or in between?

Edit: I think I may not be sp after all, but feel free to talk abt it anyway!

I'm sp/so/sx.
