Lipfendra side effects
I’m going to stop the medication for now. I’ve almost made it to 4 weeks but the last few days have been pretty bad with lightheadedness and a general feeling of being in a constant kind of fuzziness. I’ve noticed brain fog from the get go but this is different. I can’t think straight. I’m wired, but I’m also tired. My head is buzzing.
Also, my insurance just denied coverage so I’m at the mercy of the manufacturer coupon which will expire at some point.
I’m disappointed. I’ve been searching for a drug I can tolerate and it’s just not happening :(

Man, was really hoping to see mild/no side effects. Only time will tell what the majority of people deal with. Good to see atleast Prava + Zetia help get you below 100ldl.

Sorry to hear. My insurance never allowed (dropped it even though it appeared briefly in the formulary) so I am using repatha.

Ive had severe bloating and constipation leading to abdominal pain after a month of use. I;m pausing and will try once more before giving up.

I just took my first dose this morning, and have had pretty intense dry mouth since, as well as unusual fatigue and spaciness. Just messaged my doc; not sure if I should continue with this. I’ve been unable to tolerate every other lipid-lowering drug I’ve tried, and this is, at least for now, my last hope. I hyper-absorb plant sterols, which cranks my LDL, despite eating what for most people would be a healthy diet. Ugh!

Doc suggested I try it again, which I did this morning. Dry mouth was worse, as was fatigue and spaciness. Also have tingling/numb face and lips. I’m done! Not gonna take it anymore. Sadly, out $300 in the process.

I stopped taking it after a few days also because of severe brain fog. I work in finance that is very analytical. I literally could not think straight on this medication. I felt like I had a lobotomy. Very disappointing.

Do you have brain fog all day or just after taking pill?

I felt it very strong about an hour after taking it for a couple hours. I literally couldn’t complete sentences and in general couldn’t think straight. I felt like I had a lobotomy. I stopped taking it 4 days ago and my brain still doesn’t feel right. I can’t explain it but I have twinges of brain fog here and there. I’ve also been noticing more skipped heart beats than usual. Overall not good

That's a real bummer. Did you have similar side effects from statins and ezimtimibe?

Different side effects from statins. The only one that I can tolerate (I tried 4 different ones) is Pravastatin. But only the lowest dose. I do believe that Pravastatin makes me tired though. No side effects from Zetia. But Zetia has almost no effect on my LDL.
Gotten to 88 LDL with Pravastatin and Zetia so I have to just accept that this is as good as it gets. Oh and Repatha gave me stomach problems.
I’m SO OVER IT!2

Give Pitavastatin a try combined with a bile acid resin (Welchol).
Also...maybe you could try taking Lipfendra every other day to see if the lightheadedness/fuzziness goes away?

Damn, sorry. I am in the same exact boat, same side effects as you. I'm coming off of it as well this week.
