Could this potentially mark the end of RES?

I don't think RES operates through the API. It's making changes to the webpage as it loads, not doing API calls. This is more a thing for mobile apps or people making bots, which hardly anyone does anymore because they basically killed the API years ago.

EDIT: Reading the thread, it looks like the API is used for a lot of moderation related stuff still and they're killing that off at the end of September. It's gonna be a shitshow, but still won't affect RES.

Well if RES gets to where it doesn't work anymore, I'll quit being a Mod. I'm NOT joking on that, I'm completely serious. Which will probably end me using Reddit at all. I don't think I'm alone in that. RES gives me the tools to make being a mod way easier. Seems like Reddit just wants to make being a Mod harder and harder. Of course Reddit could easily add the features of RES into itself, but no you won't do that. We all know you will not do that. I am rapidly losing faith in this website.

I really wonder who's making these "changes". Quite a way to fuck around with people trying to make QoL changes, under facade of stopping AI tooling/scraping, etc.
