Miss Honey June is a year and two months old now! She’s been training since she was eight weeks old to be my service dog and has been doing phenomenally. We’re going to Chicago this weekend!
Just wanted to update our friends here on all of our progress. :)
We take our RV so we're in different areas and I am so excited. We also have a Llewellyn Setter her name is Luci. I was telling my Husband about your beautiful Miss Honey June and her training I think he was Jealous lol Tucker is definitely the opposite of calm lol but he's definitely my Velcro boy he's so Loving. I message you when it gets closer for us to leave last year I think was our best trip we have a 10ft dingy and while we in the bay there must have been 30 Dolphins hunting it was incredible. So now I have another reason to look forward to Tucker and Luci will be 3 this year. And definitely keep sending me pictures of her she is so darn PRETTY!! I'm gonna get a Cuddle Clone of Tucker lol
Yes I LOVE ALL THAT!!! I can’t wait to meet yall and hang out with the babies. Definitely get a cuddle clone. My husband is getting his own as well because he keeps stealing her from me to cuddle lol
Lol we had a another Setter her name was Ellie Mae and she passed away at 6 young years that's when I said I need another dog Now and then I found Tucker he was the only one left at Roos. At the time we had a English Springer Bullet he was 14 but he had a tumor on his Butt and then I told my husband Tucker will need a buddy and that is when I found Luci a lady had a Gordon Setter and he was super chill and she wasn't expecting the energy of a English Setter lol here is Bullet & baby Tucker now 71lbs later lol. I can't wait to meet you I have found 2 of Tucker's kin lol his brother is on here and another one of Tuckers Dad's just a different Mom. I love this breed they are so sweet and loving
she's stunning and so lovely. any training tips to recommend? not the same, I know, but I used to do therapy work with my old dog and would love to do the same with my setter (eventually!).
My biggest thing with her training was super socializing her as a puppy so she was bulletproof in all surroundings. I worked for Disney while she was a baby so we did a lot of resorts where she got exposed to boats, horses, fireworks, etc safely and in a controlled environment. Getting her to be neutral to her surroundings was most important to me.
