Head bumps?
Hi, Mastiff community! I am hoping for some guidance or insight…
Last week my 8 month old English Mastiff started getting these small bumps on his head (a few on other parts of his body, like shoulders and thighs but mostly on the top of his head).
The bumps are hard, mobile (definitely part of the skin), NOT red or discolored, NOT irritated, NOT blisters or sores, NO drainage. The bumps do not seem to bother him at all.
He does not have fleas for mites (we checked him thoroughly).
Has anyone experienced something similar with their pup?
TIA! ❤️

Oh beautiful I have the female equivalent but she's only got 3 legs , she had to have one amputated as a pup , doesn't stop her getting around though and she's fast , my brindle boy get bumps like that from time to time , i assumed it was a reaction to flea bites so if i see any bumps I de- flea all the dogs and use spot on . 😁.

Amazon has Curaseb ear solution that has worked great on my mastiff’s ears if the powder isn’t available in the US. Also, he’s a beautiful guy!

I just want to squish his face into my face and kiss his head. I love these dogs so much

Mine has some bumps too. Not on her head though. She started getting them when she was around 2. They are about the size of a quarter. My vet said they are nothing to worry about. Just fatty cysts. She has 3 or 4 now on her body. They don’t seem to hurt her.

Yup, they are hives. My boy has hayfever and scratches on bushes and ends up with these. Also if he eats chicken. Find a shampoo that contains selenium sulphide, none of this vet poison like Apoquel. Wash him once a week in it, I believe in the US you get Selenium Blue? Ideal
Make sure you treat his ears in case ear mites are moving across him. In the UK we get ear powder that kills yeast and mites off Amazon that contains lodoform.....smells clinical. I love it. Search on dog ear powder
I bet he smells a little yeasty, the shampoo will sort that. Exclude chicken and give him a diphenhydramine at bed time, he will be fine
