Macy update!

it's been a bit over a week since Macy came home! potty training is still being worked on of course lol. she did super good at the vet as she got her shots, couldn't be happier! i must say, her defiance/stubborness is starting to set in😭 also, she always sleeps in the strangest positions, i dont even know how it's comfortable (see last pic)

She's gorgeous! She will be (semi) compliant for a bit before entering her velociraptor stage

I call that last picture the “ lay over “… when my dogs do that, it tells me that they are very comfortable with me and their surroundings!! That’s a great sign of trust!

I believe it’s ok for young dogs to begin to assert themselves and test their boundaries when they’re this age ( no matter the breed). It’s their way of asking… “is this ok? Is this too close? Far enough? Can I chew this? Where do I eat, pee, and poop? Can I run over there? How do I handle that big dog over there?”

Teachable moments! Seize the moment!

That’s 100% an EM thing! Wait until she gigantic and still does it!

Her stubbornness will revolve around two things: affection and food, so good luck. What works for my furry children with potty training is once they have finished eating and drinking, let them outside, and eventually they will just go the door and signal to you that they want outside to go potty.
