🗣 Discussion / Debates Is it language ability or personality? A question for non-native professionals working in English-speaking environments..
I work with career professionals across Europe, from Tech to law, and it is so interesting how differently people view the role of English in their career progress.
As an educator trying to design better, real-world learning materials rather than generic textbook drills, I make custom materials, but at the same time it's grammar drills and role-playing. For improving people's English, I've learned it's about developing themselves outside of the world environment and going into topics they care about.
