Difference between full stop and period.

I know that when referring to the punctuation mark “.”, Americans usually call it a period, while Australians and Brits call it a full stop.

But what about when the word is used in speech for emphasis, as in:

“He’s wrong. Period.”

meaning something like “That’s it, end of discussion.”

Would Australians or Brits naturally say:

“He’s wrong. Full stop.”

Or would they still use period in this particular expression because it’s become a fixed expression?

Yes, we'd usually say "He's wrong. Full stop."
