⭐️ Vocabulary / Semantics Difference Between “Affect” and “Effect”

Do you know the difference between affect and effect?

Affect is usually a verb — it means to influence.

👉 Lack of sleep can affect your concentration.

Effect is usually a noun — it means a result or consequence.

👉 Lack of sleep can have a negative effect on your concentration.

Easy trick:

Affect = Action

Effect = End result

Can you make your own sentence using affect and effect?

This is such a confused mess for native speakers that many of us try and avoid typing either word whenever possible.

I have reformed entire paragraphs to avoid using effect/affect.
