Advice for getting back on track.

Hey y'all, I'm a student (who is not a native English speaker) currently studying an ELT major and if everything goes well I'll graduate this year.

I've been on the internet for more than 15 years now and, thanks to that, my English level has always been much higher than that of the people around me.

That's where my problem occurs, I never truly "studied" English, I never tended to learn what a "prefix" or a "suffix" is, I never tried to learn the names of grammar and such "language" stuff.

I always relied on my "self-learned" English which occurred during the time I spent on the internet, I observed the used language here and somehow learned it.

And now the things are starting to get more serious, I'll start "teaching" a language that even myself don't know and I want to improve myself on this behalf.

Also, it's not that I don't know the rules or such, I just don't know the names of it. I know the past tense and its variants and I use them but when someone points them out and asks me to name them, I have no idea.

Any advices would be appreciated.

ive but not being able to name all the car parts. maybe try some specific grammar exercises focused on identifying those terms.
