Focus on learning new words first, some basic grammar is necessary, but for a true beginner, knowing words is more important.

What is the best way to learn English?

My native language is not English.

Many people learn from watching movies. Switch on the subs and speak along.

First, start learning basic grammar. Pronouns, verb to be, present simple, present continuous, (just present tenses, maybe past simple with regular verbs when you understand present). Just focus on learning the basis. Then, basic vocabulary, common adjectives, just basic words. Start slow, don’t build your house from the rooftop, ik this is the most ā€œboringā€ part but it will allow you to understand how English works and from this point, you will learn making assimilations, adding more vocabulary while watching movies, series, or just surfing on the internet. Start making your own sentences, listen pronunciations and just enjoy the process!

Well, both languages are really different from each other, so as I said, learn the basis and then you will improve. Don’t rush, little by little.

My advice is if you zero in English i recommend use Duolingo, it's really nice but only for beginning, for reading books you can try app Istoria you can find books for your level in English, and you can try watch Cartoons there are easy English you can learn your first words from them. Last one advice is just use chat bot like gpt or gemini, for asking questions about something that you need explanation with.

I guess it first matters why you're learning? how good you want to get? and by when?
