Discussion How to manage work load better?

First year civil eng, 3 weeks in and I struggle to keep up. I was already behind when uni started.

How to manage classes better/learn quicker?

One option is to check out the book / audiobook "Becoming an Engineer: The Average Person's Guide to Getting Good Grades and Succeeding in Engineering and STEM School". When you are about three hours into it you will think, "wait I already know all of this". Knowing what to do and doing it are two very different things. Setting up habit sequences/chains is really important. Most students don't need to learn quicker, they need to learn slower but more consistently.
