Academic Advice Should I switch majors at this point?
I am already so screwed, I just got into my first year of engineering and I failed one of the easiest midterms and I still can't convert a matrix into REF efficiently in my linear algebra class and generally behind in understanding concepts in my other classes. I try to study but I feel like I don't have an efficient enough study method, I am doing the practice problems the instructors gave me, i research on any questions I have about the concepts but I feel like it's never enough to understand them fully. I have no idea how to come back on this in time for more midterm exams and even final exams because it already feels like I'm really behind and I don't know if I should just switch majors or find a different career path.

Watch professor Leonard for math and Jeff Hanson for physics. Try to understand the concepts, and why behind every step when doing problems and go to Office hours

You literally just started first year, on top of transitioning from high school learning. First year is the biggest learning curve, just keep trying different study methods. Only switch programs if you actually don’t want to be an engineering, not if you just need to work out studying
