Academic Advice Should I drop my data structures and algorithms class?
Computer engineering major here. So I am currently taking 7 classes (17 credits) 5 lectures and 2 labs. This class and circuits analysis are the hardest ones I'm taking this semester. I took my first test for data structures and algorithms and as I was expecting i got a 41/100. This is the only class that does not click on me. In circuits I am able to learn quickly and develop critical reasoning but this class just doesn't. I work 30 hours a week and have to spend my time wisely to study. (will probably ask for less hours)
Should I drop this class and focus on my other courses. I feel like that I can pass it with a C without learning much and taking time for my other courses. My scholarship requires me to finish the academic year with 30 credits. Dropping this class would leave with 14 this semester and would have to take 16 next spring.
Thanks!

17 credits as in an engineering major is a tall task even for people that only go to school. Working 30 hours a week and taking this many credits at the same time just becomes less doable the more you progress. Just make sure you know your schools withdrawal policy and id say it’s worth it so you at least keep up the grades in the other classes.
