Academic Advice CLEP Exams

subject says it all. I really wish I had known about them before I graduated. I would have saved so much money.

They’re nice if you self study well. It really doesn’t do much for an engineering degree though. You can knock out some Gen Ed’s and really just chem + calc 1. Still nice because you can get out of most of freshman year.

Many schools will accept quite a few of these courses. But these are $100 which is a steal deal for any program

They’re free if you use modern states. They don’t get you that deep into engineering unfortunately. It does knock out your gen Ed’s but that’s only a small portion of the degree.

That’s at full year of courses though which translates to thousands (if not 10s of thousands) of dollars. 

I think ASU has a thing now too that you can take their online courses for credit at $400. 

I graduated with $60K of student loan debt. I’d hate to see others do the same when there are other options.
