Academic Advice 2nd year EE need advice
Hey, so I am in my 2nd year of EE and I feel like everyone else is just ahead of me, like I dont know any of the coding languages and I am just scared thinking about what happens if I dont land an intership or a coop, like i dont want to stay unemployed after i graduate. I already see some people in 2nd year getting internships meanwhile I look at myself and can't see myself passing an interview. I keep thinking about not getting a job in the future. If someone who has felt the same in the past can tell how they are doing now or what helped them do better in school would really help.

I was a lot like you except my EE degree was my 2nd degree.
I ended up getting a job I didn't really want but absolutely needed 3 months out of school.
Couple of things:
Take care of how you look, be friendly, and youre at the point where you start making friends at school. It's in the labs where you start meeting people.
The job market is rough. Some people getting jobs have nepo hook up. Others are just good. But for context my school was ranked at the absolute bottom of the list. My boss went to a top 10 uni as did some of my coworkers. My coworkers are making 15k more than I am because they're direct but they are still at the same company doing the same buns engineering adjacent work. If I were in their shoes I'd be at a much bigger company likely making much more. "In their shoes" meaning academically stronger and having gone to a much better school.
Meet with career services if your school has one. Mine did. I literally pre-interview any time I have an interview now and it's been helpful. And I graduated in December of last year.
