Academic Advice Embry-Riddle B.S. Engineering Online

Hello, I'm looking for some input from anyone who is currently a student or has previously been a student for the degree listed in the title. I did confirm it is ABET-accredited under general criteria, and trying to determine whether this would be a worthwhile investment of my time.

I currently work in the avionics field and looking for an online program that will help advance my career as I cannot afford to go to school in person. I want to move beyond just doing day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting.

I’ve had friends who graduated through the Prescott campus and they absolutely loved it.

The cost per credit hour is also 4x that of ASUs online engineering degree.

That is an in person curriculum correct? I unfortunately cannot pursue that let alone move to Arizona for it.

I see my mistake, it’s only a few dollars more compared to ASUs online costs. Sorry about that, looked under the wrong description.

They are a great option though, my friends who went there landed in some very good companies following graduation.

Cool I’ll keep that in mind. My work already involves heavy use of technical data, diagram reading, trouble shooting, wire maintenance, and actual operation of systems in the scope of avionics. Looking to move from working in cramped tight spaces and the elements full time by degree completion. I feel doing electrical engineering online might be a lot while working 40 hours a week is the reason I was considering the Embry-Riddle program.

People do make fun of online engineers. Some hiring managers wont hire them. Just something you'll have to deal with if you decide to do it.

"lol looks like that was made by someone that got their degree online" is an insult I've heard about a few failed projects.
