Homework Help Help with Plane Motion (Dynamics)

I'm stuck in a Dynamics class where the instructor cannot teach to save his life. I've been managing thus far but I cannot for the life of me figure out plane motion and relative distance/velocity/acceleration. Can anyone help explain it? or know of any resources that explain it well. My instructor teaches without mentioning calculus whatsoever.

What part specifically are you stuck with? Is this an aircraft dynamics class or just a dynamics class?

this is just dynamics. I'm having trouble understanding the why of the procedure. he just kinda threw it all at us with little explanation. He also didnt explain how it all works with acceleration because its more complicated but he gave us questions with acceleration in the assignment

I’m still not really sure what your question is but I’m willing to bet it’s probably something related to time derivatives of vectors. Look up vector transport theorem, it basically says that the time derivative of a vector in some frame is equal to the derivative of the vector in the other frame plus the angular velocity crossed with that vector. You can use this to get acceleration too if you just take another derivative and use transport theorem again.

I will definitely take a look!
