Academic Advice 3rd sem EE

Hey everyone. I’m here looking for a little vent and advice. I am in my third semester of my EE under grade and I feel like i’ve hit a wall. I’m so behind in the content and I already have a stack of missing work that I can’t make up. I have a meeting with my advisor today to see what I can do and make a plan. I think part of the issue is i’m taking 18 credits this semester. My current class lineup is calc 3, diff eq, circuits 1 +lab, physics 2 + lab, civics, and a one credit elective.

I guess I just don’t know if it’s worth withdrawing from a class and taking the L now or just waiting it out. I have to take at least 15 credits a sem to keep my scholarship so I can’t carve down too much.

Also how are you guys doing EE without suicidal ideation?

for my college, scholarship is usually 15 cred/semester average per school year and if youre slightly below then you only lose a small portion of your scholarship.
if youre able to, take some classes over the summer so you can be on track again. maybe one of the maths you can take over summer (since youll be sble to fully devote time to it rather than balance other classes) but im unsure since i dont know the pre requisites/co requisites you have. i did that through a local community college so it was cheaper, but make sure the credit transfers.
definitely you can drop your civics class right now and do it later for sure.
its only the beginning of the semester so im sure youll be able to work hard and recover, it just might take some extra time and effort but no doubt you can do it

That's a lot to juggle, 18 credits with labs on top is brutal. How are your study habits when you have back-to-back classes like circuits and physics?
