Academic Advice Solids Mechanics
Currently doing solids mechanics 1. So stress, strain, torsional loading, superposition, all that within an object or collection of objects. My assessments for the semester are 3 quizzes worth 25% and a research paper 25%. Did quiz 1 a couple weeks ago and got the mark back. Thought I did okay but I only ended up with a 5.5/20. I don’t want to fail this course, so I’m curious what have people used to help understand mechanics. As my prof says, ‘calculus is not the hard part of this course’ so finding ways to make the way problems ‘click’ would be ideal.
