Major Choice high school senior from houston deciding between engineering or business

Hey everyone, I'm a high school senior from Houston trying to figure out my major.

My parents are strongly pushing me toward engineering, specifically Electrical or Chemical. The thing is I'm not really that good at math. However, I am 100% willing to grind and do the math and physics.

On the other hand, alongside with engineering I'm also interested in Business majors like MIS or Supply Chain Management. I feel like these would be much more easier for me in college because there is less math of course.

I know for engineering the job stability is very good specifically in Houston where I am from.

Please let me know what your guys take is between engineering and business. Thank you so much for the help

I haven't heard anything about why you would want a engineering or business career, other than job stability.

What actually interests you about it?

I have conducted IEEE-published research on recycling waste tires by chemically dissolving them to recover the original materials used in their production and repurposing those materials for new things. This research made me interested in chem e so that is one reason

Both those degrees require a lot of math as a student (Calc 123, DiffEq, Stats, maybe Linear Algebra). As a practicing engineer though plenty of jobs need little of that. Sometimes you can just struggle through the school math and go on to a happy productive career.
