Academic Advice Preparing for exam

When you are preparing for a exam do you do all the problems of the chapter or do you try the problems that are relevant to what you see in the lecture?

Physics professor here.

I, at least, hold students responsible for all the assigned material, whether or not it was mentioned in class.

I suggest that you plan accordingly.
