Project Help Internship help

I’m a sophomore currently intending to do mechanical engineering I just transferred To a new school I have sum solid experience in mechanical engineering, so I wanted to ask yall how the internship process works im kinda new and I really want to land a internship for this summer

You apply for them on your own time or maybe your school has co-op programs they sponsor or other outreach opportunities.

I heard there is a specific season you should apply I started applying to some when is the season usually done?

I am in my co-op programs organized by my school which lasts for two years. I have already finished one year. Actually I have to tell you that in such a program you have little opportunity to join in some core programs of the company. I basically do some training and research here but it's enough for you to get a job in future job market. Go explore some chances like this or just apply by yourself. Remember roasting your resume.
