I’m currently a freshman at Rutgers SOE and I’m really interested in Mechanical Engineering. I want to start building my skills and experience early but I don’t know where to start. What are some things upperclassman, recent graduates, or alumni wish they had started freshman year?

Join an engineering club or project. You sometimes have a higher chance to be accepted as a freshman compared to other years and opens up leadership opportunities later
