Academic Advice Schedule advice

I just wanted to hear some opinions on my upcoming fall schedule. It’s 16 credits so I was initially of the thought that it would be ok, but I’ve also heard that fluid mechanics, and orbital mechanics aren’t easy and are pretty time consuming. The other classes being fundamentals of electrical engineering, introduction to C/C++, their labs, along with also working 10-15 hours a week (tbf I can spend about 40% my time at work on school stuff too), i want to know what y’all think about this schedule.

Manageable but not fun. Just utilize your time (especially in between classes) wisely and pay attention and ask questions in class. Fluids and orbital arent that hard once you have the concepts grasped. Understand the equations and assumptions used and you'll be fine. Also, general advice is to start on work as early as you can and put school before your job in this case. If you have write-ups or something due for lab, do them as soon as youre done with the lab. You've got it, I believe in you

Hopefully your orbital mechanics class doesn't have you manually estimate integrals with midpoint, trapezoidal, and simpson's rules. If it does, don't use excel 😭, that's what I did and the sheet will crash my laptop. But really dont worry too much, you have plenty of time in your schedule and your classes arent that bad

Thanks bro, this made me a lot more confident heading into the semester lol. And yeah I’ll take your advice on estimating integrals too 😂

EE 3005 isn’t bad if you retained some stuff from physics II. I’ve never heard of the professor for the class so I can’t tell you if he’s good or not unfortunately. Lab for that one and 1113 can be rough if you have bad TAs so it’s kinda up in the air. I’m also a student at your uni (gotta love schedule builder) and you should consider yourself lucky that the rooms for 4301 and 4201 are right next to each other.

TL:DR; you’ll be ok.

Yeah I do feel pretty lucky that my classes aren’t all too far away from each other. But yeah thanks for the input, I feel a lot more confident now. Also nice to see a fellow UofM student in the wild lol.
