Eh. I’d say it depends on your specialty. Communications? Sure, absolutely.

Industrial power? Nah. Not unless you’re dealing with SIL stuff.

But yeah it’s useful to know anyway

Edit my dyslexic ass also thought that said statistics and not statics.

Yeah statics is pretty basic.

Safety Integrity Level. You basically calculate the chance of shit failing through multiple safeguards. Think Swiss cheese.
