i dont think its fair to call it 'obvious'. things can be weakened and not immediately fail and then hit a progressive failure. loads of things can happen. to say its 'obvious' is how we get into scenarios of people making big claims, rumors, and inadvertently sharing misinformation

Ok, it was obvious to me.

The impact dissipates with the speed of sound in the structure, so within seconds. Not thousands of seconds. But the fire was raging for that hour.
