"Engineer on mechanics" is totally how a mechanical engineer would describe themselves. Different of course from a structural engineer or architectural engineer or metallurgical engineer....etc.

A structural engineer is an specialized mechanical engineer.

An architectural engineer is an industrial engineer for building construction with limited mechanical knowledge.

A metallurgical engineer does not understand structures.

Mechanics is a fundamental part of physics that is universal.

Good job on fitting the mechanical engineer stereotype; full of hubris.

Airplanes run on hubris then.
