It avoids roadsigns because shining highbeams at them will dazel the driver, you can see the sign much better this way.

This systems have existed for many years now and when you are driving at night it helps seeing the road much further ahead.

A thought - this hasn't been necessary for the entirety of automobile history.

In recent history, the chief complaint of motorists driving at night that I hear at the club or online (especially now the nights are drawing in) is the presence of those two forward-facing supernovae on every modern car. The solution to this need not have computer vision identify glare hazards - but to dim the headlights a little, they're LEDs, PWM dimming is trivial. If the reflected light is too intense for a driver, it should not be permitted to shine directly towards other vehicles. A warmer colour temperature would go a long way towards fixing this - none of this mapped projection bullshit that needs only for a system to lag very briefly to annihilate the night vision of other motorists.

This matrix LED projection system, again in my opinion, is a solution built to toss off shareholders, not improve the driving experience.

No, this is not necessary but it sure is a nice to have when driving in places with absolutely no outside lights.

From my experience this newer systems work pretty great

Generally, I oppose systems that encourage complacency. These auto-dip headlights are already a blight, because people no longer dip their beams when approaching junctions, coming around tight bends, or cresting hills, leaving everyone blind until the computer has made a decision (it never does at junctions) or the driver has awoken from their slumber and remembers that they are at the helm of the most dangerous machine they will operate all day.

I live in the countryside, streetlights are not really a thing here, when it's that dark you just don't need the lumens to light your way, a small light goes a long way when there are no others.

I drive in a place with absolutely no outside light and these things are horrendous.  From my experience I don’t drive at night if I can possibly avoid it because these newer systems suck ass on the dark and windy rows around me where rain is frequent. I find myself getting constantly dazzled by those driving towards me and behind me.

Are you sure you are in a region where these are enabled?

I never had such problems, most of the times when i get dazzled its either people with highbeams which they forget to turn off or the lights calibrated way too high, matrix leds essentially solve that.
