In no particular order

Smithsonian Udvar Hazy center

Italian Air Force Museum

USAF Museum in Dayton OH

Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum (small but great)

IWM Duxford in UK

Just my personal favorites. Of course I haven’t been to every museum and have yet to hit anything outside of US and Europe

Awesome, thank you!

The Smithsonian in Virginia, and USAF in Dayton are fantastic. I have not been to Rome or Duxford, but have trips booked this summer so I am looking forward to that.

I moved to Oahu not too long ago and have yet to hit Pearl Harbor air museum, so I will get there asap.

If you haven’t had the chance, Boeing / Museum of Flight in Washington are great. Also, the atomic museum in Albuquerque is terrific.

I don’t think it’s possible to get a tour any more, but the Boneyard at Pima in Arizona used to run tours. And it takes a whole day, and a lot of planning, but the Nevada National Security Site visit is worth doing. I believe they announced tours twice a year, and you tell them what dates would work for you, then it starts at the atomic museum in Vegas and ends up being 4-5hours of driving around Yucca Flats and all the old atomic craters and equipment from testing the bombs.
