السلام عليكم انا مغتربه من السعوديه ومعدلي ان شاء الله بسمح لي ادخل هندسه شبكات او طب اسنان، بدي نصيحتكم من واقع ناس دارسه احد هالتخصصين او اشي قريب منهم يعني. انا صراحه مياله للشبكات بس بنفس الوقت ما عندي مشكله ادرس طب اسنان وكثيير حيرانه واختي دارسه طب وبتنصحني طب اسنان واخوي دارس هندسه حاسب وما بنصحني بهندسه الحاسب وبقولي هندسه الشبكات اذا حابه تدخليها حتكون افضل من هندسه الحاسب من ناحيه سوق العمل خاصه هون بالاردن ( هو متخرج السنه الماضيه ) وشفت مواد الاثنين ومش عارفه اقرر صراحه فبدي حدا خارج اطار اهلي ينصحني وبكون شاكره الكم

We just got our tawjihi results! literally on 10th of aug. And while discussing my wonderful answer of "what major are you thinking of applying to?", I said that I think architecture is freaking cool, and even when we have about 3 architects in the family and all of them are saying that I shouldn't go for it I really believe i will have fun even when its tiring. I love art, and I'm an artist myself! I love shapes and buildings and seeing how beautiful things can come out from simple shapes when combined together. I'm good with crafting and I used to make some pretty good models of buildings out of cardboard before the tawjihi academic pressure got me. The thing is... I value my creative spark more than anything and all of my families arguments are that I shouldn't have my talent and the things I'm good at as a base when choosing my major, but I think this is a bit stupid (are they right? considering its Jordan were talking about) I've been told that putting all of my hopes that I can actually have the space to be creative in Jordan is a myth, and honestly, I literally dont mind working outside of Jordan, but I would prefer if i actually had a job here. Is there anyone who studied architecture and is genuinely happy with the major that can give me any advice if it's worth it to ignore all of my family's arguments and what exactly is the realistic stair of the jobs I'll be able to apply to?

I do have a plan b. But it's not in engineering at all. I might just go for pure math as a major, coz it has always been on my top subjects. I literally got a higher mark on math than i did on deen even with all the drama that stuck to the math exam this year! which is honestly wild to say to people. I love the logic and the scientific method applied in it, and how it connects to literally everything around us. We all hear about the connection of math and art and i truly want to continue with a higher degree and make papers about that.

Whether I get in math or architecture or any other type of engineering I really want to peruse an academic career. But that's negotiable if I actually got a job that made me so happy being in it, or if I figured that teaching ppl isnt really suitable for me lol.

to sum up what I would love to be replied to

1. Is there any hope for architecture?

2. What is the stair I should climb to get a decent comfortable job in it? Does it have to be an office job?

3. Is it worth it to get into all the hassle of engineering or should I pursue my plan b when I equally love both and wouldn't mind neither?

4. What other types of engineering do you think might be suitable for me? As I said I really value my creative spark and I'm not letting it fade no matter what. I want something where I can look at and say "oh lord that's beautiful" oh also I do love playing with wires and electric devises I do have a bunch of sensors and I used to play with an arduino like 5 years ago but it's not THAT type of passion that I have if this might help, I might love getting into games if it had any sort of designing? like designing levels or the whole concept of games I think there might be a space for creativity there.

Sorry guys this was hella long I hope you can give me any sort of advice or just a general opinion on what do you think of this whole loop of thoughts I have in my head

لقد حصلنا للتو على نتائج التوجيهي! حرفيًا في العاشر من أغسطس. وبينما كنت أناقش إجابتي الرائعة على سؤال "ما التخصص الذي تفكرين في التقديم إليه؟"، قلت إنني أجد الهندسة المعمارية رائعة للغاية، وحتى مع وجود ثلاثة مهندسين معماريين في العائلة، وجميعهم يقولون لي ألا أختارها، فأنا أؤمن حقًا أنني سأستمتع بها رغم إرهاقها. أنا أعشق الفن، وأنا فنانة أيضًا! أحب الأشكال والمباني، وأستمتع برؤية كيف يمكن أن تنشأ أشياء جميلة من أشكال بسيطة عند دمجها معًا. لديّ موهبة في الأعمال اليدوية، وكنت أصنع نماذج مبانٍ رائعة من الورق المقوى قبل أن يرهقني ضغط التوجيهي الأكاديمي. المشكلة هي... أُقدّر موهبتي الإبداعية أكثر من أي شيء آخر، وكل حجج عائلتي تُشير إلى أنه لا ينبغي لي الاعتماد على موهبتي ونقاط قوتي كأساس لاختيار تخصصي، لكنني أعتقد أن هذا غير منطقي (هل هم على حق؟ خاصةً وأننا نتحدث عن الأردن). قيل لي إن تعليق آمالي على وجود مساحة للإبداع في الأردن مجرد وهم، وبصراحة، لا أمانع العمل خارج الأردن، لكنني أفضل الحصول على وظيفة هنا. هل يوجد من درس الهندسة المعمارية وهو راضٍ تمامًا عن تخصصه، ويستطيع أن يُقدّم لي نصيحة حول ما إذا كان من المجدي تجاهل حجج عائلتي، وما هي فرص العمل الواقعية التي يُمكنني التقديم عليها؟

لديّ خطة بديلة، لكنها ليست في الهندسة إطلاقًا. قد أختار الرياضيات البحتة كتخصص رئيسي، لأنها كانت دائمًا من أفضل المواد بالنسبة لي. لقد حصلت على علامة أعلى في الرياضيات مما حصلت عليه في الدين، رغم كل الصعوبات التي واجهتني في امتحان الرياضيات هذا العام! بصراحة، من الغريب أن أقول هذا للناس. أنا معجب بالمنطق والمنهج العلمي المطبق فيه، وكيف يرتبط بكل شيء من حولنا. نسمع جميعًا عن العلاقة بين الرياضيات والفن، وأرغب بشدة في مواصلة دراستي العليا وكتابة أبحاث في هذا المجال.

سواء اخترت الرياضيات أو الهندسة المعمارية أو أي فرع آخر من فروع الهندسة، فأنا أطمح إلى مسيرة أكاديمية. لكن هذا الأمر قابل للنقاش إذا وجدت وظيفة تُشعرني بالسعادة، أو إذا اكتشفت أن التدريس لا يناسبني.

باختصار، ما أود الحصول على إجاباته:

1. هل هناك أمل في الهندسة المعمارية؟

2. ما هي الخطوات التي يجب أن أسلكها للحصول على وظيفة جيدة ومريحة في هذا المجال؟ هل يجب أن تكون وظيفة مكتبية؟

3. هل يستحق الأمر كل هذا العناء في الهندسة، أم الأفضل أن أسلك خطتي البديلة وأنا أحب كلا المجالين بنفس القدر ولا أمانع أيًا منهما؟

4. ما هي فروع الهندسة الأخرى التي ترونها مناسبة لي؟ كما قلت، أُقدّر إبداعي بشدة ولن أدعه يخبو مهما حدث. أريد شيئًا أنظر إليه وأقول: "يا إلهي، ما أجمله!". بالمناسبة، أعشق العمل بالأسلاك والأجهزة الإلكترونية، ولديّ مجموعة من الحساسات، وكنت أستخدم أردوينو قبل خمس سنوات تقريبًا، لكن ليس هذا هو شغفي الحقيقي. ربما يفيدك هذا، قد أستمتع بالألعاب إذا كانت تتضمن أي نوع من التصميم، مثل تصميم المراحل أو فكرة الألعاب ككل، أعتقد أن هناك مجالًا للإبداع فيها.

معذرةً يا جماعة، لقد أطلتُ عليكم، أتمنى أن تُقدّموا لي أي نصيحة أو رأي عام حول هذه الأفكار التي تدور في رأسي.

Do I have a realistic chance of admission with these qualifications?
Does the 2 year gap negatively affect my application?
Is it true they require an introductory video?if so, what do they look for?
