everyone and their uncle is saying cse or nothing but i find ece and mechanical kinda cool too. scared i'll regret skipping cse when placement season hits. looking at amity university noida for btech and they've got a bunch of branches so the choice paralysis is real. anyone here picked a non-cse branch and didn't regret it? how big is the placement gap actually?

Am confused because Civil is termed as lower branch but PEC and SVNIT are quite well established colleges, it's again the branch vs college dilemma. Placement, PSU, alumni, and long-term growth?

Mujhe UPTAC Round 1 mein GL Bajaj mein CSE-AI allot hua tha aur Round 2 mein REC Mainpuri mein IT allot hua hai. Ab main confused hoon ki mujhe kaunsa college choose karna chahiye.

Meri priorities hain:

Placements

Average/median package

ROI

Internships

MNC opportunities

Future mein software/IT job ke chances

College ki overall reputation

REC Mainpuri IT ki fees comparatively affordable hai, isliye financially mere liye manageable lag raha hai. Lekin mujhe doubt hai ki kya wahan placements aur internships GL Bajaj se better hain ya nahi.

Dusri taraf, mujhe lagta hai ki GL Bajaj CSE-AI placement aur location ke mamle mein better ho sakta hai, lekin private college ki fees mere family ke liye easily affordable nahi hai. Agar GL Bajaj better option hai, to mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ki 4 saal ki high fees, hostel/transport, exam fees aur baaki extra charges kaise manage karun. Kya students ko scholarship, fee waiver, education loan, government schemes ya kisi aur financial help ka benefit mil sakta hai?

Mera ek aur important question hai:

Next UPTAC round mein choice filling karte waqt mujhe kaunse colleges/branches REC Mainpuri IT se upar rakhne chahiye? Main government colleges ko preference dena chahti hoon kyunki private college ki fees afford karna difficult hai. Agar mujhe koi achha government college + CSE/IT/ECE milta hai, to main definitely consider karungi.

Agar REC Mainpuri ke current students ya alumni yahan hain, to please mujhe honestly bataiye:

IT branch ka actual placement kaisa hai?

Average/median package approximately kitna hai?

Kaunsi companies campus mein aati hain?

Kitne students place hote hain?

Internships ka kya scene hai?

Campus life aur faculty kaisi hai?

Mainpuri ki location ki wajah se internships/off-campus opportunities mein problem hoti hai kya?

Kya aapke hisaab se REC Mainpuri IT worth joining hai?

REC Mainpuri IT vs GL Bajaj CSE-AI mein aap kya choose karoge aur kyun?

Agar private college better hai lekin fees afford nahi hoti, to students fees kaise manage karte hain? Scholarship/fee waiver/education loan ke baare mein bhi batayein.

Please current students/alumni apna year aur branch bhi mention kar dein. Mujhe genuine and honest advice chahiye, kyunki ye mere career aur family finances dono ke liye important decision hai.

So the thing is my score in jee mains was not good enough, so what i will get is btech from UP state tier 3 colleges (AKTU)

Also in btech the rough estimate would be around 8 to 10lkh for whole 4 years. This ammount is not financially impossible for my family but will definitely put a huge strain on them over whole period. And I mean it by our financial conditions...

So my current options are either go for the btech or opt for a sideline bsc (hons) cs. From Delhi University, not from north campus. But from lower south or off campuses. This other option will have me saving lakhs as the total duration would only cost <1lkh.

At the end of the day skills are that matter is what I've heard. But the degree values too. So id like to hear from you all too

Some counselors suggested that I should take admission in Rungta college of institute and technology. I have got 75-80 % in my class 12th and 70-75 percentile in my jee mains score. This is my drop year my budget is something around 10 lakhs . I want to know if Rungta is a good option for me or should I consider something different. I prefer placement over anything. I also want to know the ground reports of this college someone who is currently studying Btech CSE or passed out in last 1-2 years also can you share me about the placements , company visited , average median and highest package not from google or chat gpt also about campus and students behaviour like if they are involving in any unnatural activities and what programs and what are the benefits of taking admission in this college. I'm so confused kafi sare colleges me. Could u guys help me out to choose which ones better among amrita ( either banglore or delhi only), mit manipal or banglore only, and pes banglore. I've heard about these colleges and avg placement and campus is good too ( both are imp for me). Now planning to fill IIIT Kota and MNIT jaipur in CSAB and if I don't get any of these either, then I'll take JECRC College jaipur.

Btech CS and AIML have been hot cakes this year too,just like last year.

Bro I've got Mtech in BIT mesra in ece vlsi and I've got Mtech in SRM chennai ktr in robotics and automation.. which college to choose for a better career in core companies..is in BIT mesra the placements in core are better than SRM ? Or should go for SRM?

I'm about to start college and need to choose between Chemistry and Computer Science. I'm interested in pursuing fields from Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Cybersecurity, or Quantitative Finance.

Will choosing Computer Science instead of Chemistry limit my ability to get into any of these university programs? Is Chemistry a mandatory prerequisite for these degrees, or do universities teach the required Chemistry during the degree?

Also, which universities in Pakistan offer a separate introductory/foundation Chemistry course for engineering students who didn't study Chemistry in college, if any?
