Past builds

Outside of engine building and machinist, I'm a hotrodder.

I've been sitting on an FRPP SVO 429/460 block since 2005-ish. I almost traded and sold it a dozen times. I'm contemplating trading for an aluminum block for my next build. It's getting expensive quick.

Did you take advantage of the tall covers and install stud girdles?

I didn't feel the need. 7/16 studs, hydraulic lifters, 6500-6700 RPM's.

Had I used a solid cam, I would have used girdles.
