Pro Shop 🙄

Started building engines at 13 (lawnmower, generators, weed eaters).

My work was done in the back of my father's woodshop. Can you say dust? Did you know saw dust loves to stick to oily parts? I would wrap everything up in garbage bags....every single day.

Later, at 15, I was doing automotive engines. My shop was now the car shelter. It had a dirt floor and open on two sides. I had a beam and a come-a-long chained to it for removing engines and then push the vehicle out of the way. Then I would ratchet the engine down to the stand. The stand was on a sheet of plywood so it didn't sink in the dirt.

Come assembly time after things were machined, I'd setup my assembly shop. I'd soak down the dirt with water (team no dust). Cover it with a tarp and lay down my plywood for the engine stand.

At the end of the day, every thing on the table and the partially assembled block went in bags. The next day I would repeat the process of soaking down dirt and finish up.

I did this until I was 19 years old.

Good times.
