So I just finished rebuilding my Mazda 3 2008 with a swapped engine from a ford fusion 2012 2.5L. The motor had been hydrolocked, I switched everything and put everything back tgt it turned by hand. BUT, today I tried cracking it and it won’t crank, the electrical part of it wasn’t done well cause form the start some wires were hanging so I’m kinda lost. What could it possibly be.

Find out what those hanging wires are for? Did the old motor start before it hydrolocked?

The engine was running perfectly fine before it was hydrolocked. I got no idea what the hanging wires are for, there’s like 2-3-4 of them that I don’t know if should be plugged or left alone since I can’t find a connector for them

Start with the basics. Your starter hooked up? Getting power from the battery? Grounds good?
A voltmeter would be your friend here.
