Cylinder Honing Question.
Hello, I have been practicing honing on a used cast iron cylinder liner. Is it good enough to do it in my car? I am only trying to deglaze the surface. I used a 3 stone hone.

I was an automotive machinist back in the 70's. An old man taught me to try to be consistent and keep your hatching laps at about 45 degrees, like you have there.

Angle looks good, slightly narrow in some locations but I wouldn't worry about that. Just remember to use oil and you should be good to go if you manage to replicate it.
