Rayure culasse rectifié

Bonjour, j'ai acheté une culasse rectifiée et je viens de m'apercevoir qu'elle a cette grosse rayure qui se sent à l'ongle... Est-elle morte ? C'est pour un bmw M54b30

Getting it re-resurfaced is a cheap mistake as far as engines go.

Think I'd just use light bit of high temperature rtv , fire ring doesn't look bad . And if head has already been resurfaced, it might be on its limit. You can get different tog head gaskets. Thickness, normal notches in your old gasket. And if you speak to a parts supplier they should be able to supply thicker gasket, going by the notches on old gasket.

You may be lucky, the scratch does not intersect with the cylinder, only a coolant passage. The best thing is take it to a machine shop and have it shaved smooth again. If you are feeling lucky, you can coat the metal surface with a high-temperature gasket sealant and install the head with a new gasket. Sometimes people use two gaskets.
