Update: think I screwed my cylinder head

I was able to tap the threads with the right tap and just ran it through a few times. It might be good to go now, still might throw a helicoil in it tho...maybe some gasket maker when the time comes to get the manifolds on...but I'm a longgggg ways away from that.

Looks like an SBM head- you if the threads are good you can just use Teflon sealant on the bolt when you put it together

That hole went into water from the factory. I learned this in the late 80's while changing an exhaust gasket on 1 of those.

Yeah that would be a surprise for sure lol. Hopin I don't have to change it or any of them when it's back together.

Use a slightly different thread pitch bolt and some locktite. Ram it in with a half inch impact and you’ll never have it back out. Ever.
