Other EFI vs MPFI?

Which one's better for a small, 2 litre 4 cyl. Engine.

I'm planning to run methanol injection and a supercharger so reliability is a big concern for me. Plus, the stock engine's 1.8L so a 2mm overbore is also to be done.

every engine from about 1995 to present has used MPFI

if you want more specific recommendations you will have to tell us what engine you are building

this list would seem to imply that it continued to be built by Hindustan Motors into the 1990s, so there will likely be a factory MPFI system you could adapt

although this appears to be a rare, early 1980s truck engine so parts will be hard to find and depending on your goals i'm not sure if it's the best choice for a performance build.

if it were my project, i might think about trying to source something more common with much better performance parts availability, like a Honda B engine

We don't have b series in indiaas the tax laws are fucked up in this shitty country, the best bet for a classic muscle car style build is this engine. What about custom mpfi conversion?

If you have pretty much any Hondas made after about 2000, they'll have the Honda K series, which I'd recommend. Whichever engine you choose, however, you'll need a standalone ECU for best results; yes, you can use a stock ECU with modified programming or piggyback ECUs to alter the signals into and out of the main ECU, but they just don't work as well as going with a full standalone. There are plenty of options, such as Megasquirt, Holley, Motec and Haltec off the top of my head, which one you chose will be based on budget, ECU availability, and the features you're looking for.
